The Leaf Cable Cowl pattern was originally published in Knitting magazine 226, with the cowl knitted in Keswick Aran. This yarn is no longer available, but there are many great alternatives on the Eden Cottage Yarns Website, including the beautiful Bowland Aran yarn which knits to the same stitch pattern tension.
